Eaglewood to unveil Laserlox Mini at Labelexpo Europe

Published 06 September 2017

Eaglewood Technologies will be showcasing its new Laserlox Mini at the upcoming Labelexpo Europe to be held between 25–28 September in Brussels.

Eaglewood stated that the new LaserLox system is an intelligent and an environmentally safe machine, which can help to maintain anilox inventory. This advanced laser technology is claimed to be a safe way to easily clean ink and coatings of all types.

The Minneapolis-based anilox roll cleaning-maker claims that after having proven its mettle in the packaging market, the Laserlox Mini is now available for label printers.

Eaglewood’s Laserlox offers a wide range of models including the Laserlox and the Laserlox Flexi Anilox Roll Cleaning Systems. These include Laserlox Flexi 65, Laserlox 90, Laserlox 117, Laserlox Narrow Web and Laserlox Mini.

The system uses a 20-watt laser, which can remove any ink chemistry without touching the ceramic or chrome coating on an anilox rolls. These micro beams can vaporise the ink or coating, allowing the light to reach all the way down inside, even with highest of line counts.

The touchscreen panel allows for easy entry of information and the laser can automatically focus, allowing rolls of several diameters to be cleaned simultaneously, without the operator making any adjustments.

When the laser is cleaning multiple rolls during the same cleaning cycle, the laser head can move quickly over the journals and bearings and decreasing the overall cleaning time and energy.

The machine offers several advantages including easy and effective cleaning, has no limitations in terms of line count, cleans almost all types of ink chemistry ranging from water based, energy curable, solvent based, adhesives, varnishes and coatings. It can be used for cleaning Anilox rolls with journals and sleeved anilox rolls.
