Fast Pak Packaging installs Diecut UK's 1700 x 1200 diecutter

PKBR Staff Writer Published 17 July 2017

UK-based Fast Pak Packaging has installed a new 1700 x 1200 size semi-automatic diecutting machine in the Redline product range manufactured by Diecut UK as part of an ongoing expansion plan.

The new Redline diecutter has been placed next to the Redline 1900 x 1300 diecutter which was installed three years ago.

It is capable of converting a 1700 x 1200 sheet size at a speed of 3500iph. With quick set up times, the machine has been talked about to be a natural choice to complement the Fast Pak Packaging’s production floor.

Claimed to be a fast turnaround sheet plant located in Manchester, Fast Pak has doubled its capacity in flatbed diecutting. The company has a workforce of 50 employees.

According to Fast Pak managing director David Leighton, the machines supplied by Diecut UK are of very good build quality which can withstand heavy work.

Leighton added: “Not only that, the service Diecut UK offer is really something else. It gives me peace of mind that we can have support if needed and their claim of emergency support anywhere in the UK in 24 hours gives me and the team confidence.

“Of course this was important when we purchased the first machine and the second was just natural choice.”

Diecut UK managing director Steve Waterhouse says that Fast Pak has joined an increasing number of customers who have bought different products while benefiting from the company’s annual heath and safety service.

Waterhouse added: “More and more people are embracing Diecut UK’s preventive maintenance programme to make sure their machinery is running at optimum performance.

“Everyone knows it’s not the price of the part but the cost of being out of production. The programme also offers peace of mind to know that a qualified third party company can ensure their machines comply with the ever changing regulations.”
