Needham Coding UK has introduced new N series range of continuous ink jet (CIJ) printers.

The new N series CIJ printers has been developed for use in harsh wet and dry applications across a range of industries such as food and beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, DIY and personal care / cosmetics.

They are available in four models, including the N16, N16 Plus, N25 and N32.

N16 ink jet printer can be used for basic and entry level applications to print one or two lines of text, barcodes and graphics, while N32 can be used in high speed applications to print five lines of text, barcode and graphics.

Based on the model, the N series holds capacity to print a single line of text at speeds more than 600m/minute, two lines over 200m/minute and three or four lines of print at 100m/minute.

With mean time before failure (MTBF) of 40,000 operating hours, the N series provides small and large character printing from 0.6mm up to 19mm.

Suitable for global coding and marking applications, the compact series uses multi-national character sets with multiple languages and unicode character printing.

The printers can produce a range of fonts such as bar codes, batch numbers and best before, sell-by and expiration dates, in addition to other logos and graphics directly onto uneven or flexible substrates like glass, plastics, paper, metal and rubber.

The Needham Group managing director Aled Ellis said: “For the first time in our history, Needham Coding is launching its own brand range of CIJ printers.

“It was a natural next step for the business and is the first in a series of exciting initiatives designed to help The Needham Group meet its global growth objectives.”
